Benefits of Driving with Hutchison

One-week vacation is earned after completing twelve (12) months of employment. Two (2) weeks vacation will be earned after completion of twenty-four (24) months of employment. Vacation dates will be subject to seniority.
Each driver will receive holiday pay for the six (6) basic holidays - New Year's, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. This benefit goes into effect after the driver has completed ninety (90) days of service. Major medical health insurance is provided to employees. (A nominal employee contribution is required.) Spouse and dependents coverage is an optional payroll deduction. Insurance coverage is effective the first day of the calendar month following completion of a 90-day probationary period. 401(k) Program. Each eligible driver/operator will have the opportunity to participate in the Hutchison Incorporated 401(k) tax-deferred company participation program. Full-time drivers are eligible after the ninety (90) days probationary period. Sign up is the first of each quarter, January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1. Drivers are eligible for the Fuel Mileage Incentive Program if they meet the criteria of fuel savings set by the company. Bonuses are paid quarterly based on mileage and miles per gallon achievement.
A senior driver is defined as a driver who has been employed by Hutchison,
Inc. as an over-the-road driver for five (5) consecutive years or has
driven an accumulative 500,000 miles as an employee of Hutchison, Inc.,
whichever is accomplished first. Any driver who has met the senior driver
qualifications will receive, around December 15th of each calendar year,
supplemental pay for the previous twelve (12) months, based on the following
calculation: Incentive programs for over-the-road drivers based upon performance and achieved goals. |
